Xbox One X Sold Over 80,000 Units in the UK During its First Week of Sales

GamesIndustry.biz has revealed that the Xbox One X sold over 80,000 units in the UK in its first week of sales, beating the PS4 Pro sales and matching the Switch’s launch.

Retailers have shared the data that reveal that Microsoft’s Xbox One X is well ahead of the PS4 Pro sales during its first week which did just a little over 50,000 back in November. It took the PS4 Pro four weeks to reach the same numbers that the Xbox One X reached in just one week.

It was also revealed that the majority of sales were of the Project Scorpio edition of the Xbox One X. It should be noted that both the Switch and PS4 Pro were impacted by stock shortages which had an effect on sales numbers but this is still a big achievement for Microsoft.

Leading up to release of Xbox One X we released a ton of videos showcasing the consoles power, especially with the 360 back compat games. If you’re still on the fence about whether to buy the new mega console from Microsoft then why not check out some of our Xbox One X videos down below.
