specs to be officially revealed next week


Last week, reports about Microsoft’s #Project Scorpio already in production was prevalent. It was then followed by speculations of a possible launching on the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 event. Aside from that, several claims further fan the flame suggesting pre-orders will be started right after the said event of which the company will spearhead.

Another report came out just today claiming that “#Forza Motorsport 7 will reveal the official specs of Microsoft’s monster console. According to Windows Central’s Senior Editor for Xbox, Jez Corden, the unveiling will happen ahead of the earlier speculated schedule. The report goes on stating that the game will be used as a platform to showcase the power of the Scorpio.

Unveiling date

In his Twitter account, Corden post a series of tweets giving out important details about Xbox’ upcoming successor.

In one of his reports published on Windows central, Corden said that it is possible that on Thursday fans will get to see if the Project Scorpio will use the latest AMD Ryzen CPU or something else. However, he claimed that these are still unconfirmed by the company so the report must be taken with a grain of salt.

Possible specs and features

Xbox Project Scorpio will stay true to the specifications it has announced during the 2016 E3. The upcoming console will be packed with 6 teraflops computing power, 8 CPU cores, and 320GB/s of memory bandwidth. It boasts of its ability to produce true 4K gaming capability surpassing PS 4 pro’s 4.2 teraflops.

In addition, it is reported to ditch the ESRAM, which is present on #Xbox One console sporting 12 GB of GDDR5 memory. It will also have a compact design that is made possible because of its cutting edge cooling technology. Moreover, the console will drop the bulky power bricks and will use an internal power supply.

Games supporting 4K

There are several third party and first party games listed to back the upcoming Microsoft console. Included in the list are major games such as “Call of Duty 2017,” “Crackdown 3,” “FIFA 18,” and “Forza Motorsport 7.” In addition, “Madden NFL 18,” “Middle-earth: Shadow of War,” and “Red Dead Redemption 2” are also expected to support the Project Scorpio. These games are anticipated to be shown in a footage or gameplay from the console during the E3 2017 event.
