There was rejoicing the world over when Rockstar Games, the people behind Grand Theft Auto and Bully, announced Red Dead Redemption 2 – the sequel to the incredible Wild West-themed adventure game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Redemption 2 was originally slated to be released in autumn this year, but Rockstar has revealed today (May 22) that the title will now be coming out in the spring of 2018.

The developer said it would be “the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible.
“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer.”
To tide us over until summer, we’ve got some brand new screenshots that look absolutely stunning.
Hopefully when Rockstar’s bosses say they’ll show off more of the game in summer, they buck their typical trend and make an appearance at this year’s E3.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on Xbox One and PS4.
