First unveiled during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the Xbox One X is one of the most highly anticipated consoles for the year. Microsoft has previously said that it will feature some of the highest specs to ever grace a console. The Xbox One X Scorpio Edition was quick to sell out. However, recent reports reveal that a leaked ad indicates when gamers will be able to get their hands on the Xbox One X.
According to Microsoft blog Thurott, a WalMart ad indicated that the gaming community will have another chance to grab their Xbox One X on Sept. 21. The pre-orders will go live again on that day, and the news comes just a few days before Microsoft’s planned announcement. Although it is unclear if the leaked ad should be believed, it does feature the standard edition of the Xbox One X, which makes it all the more likely that Microsoft plans to announce that they have stocks available again.
“Although our fans may no longer be able to pre-order the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition in their country, we know people are still anxious to get their hands on the world’s most powerful console,” Microsoft explained, when the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition was sold out, as reported by Express. “We will be announcing details of the next wave of Xbox One X standard edition pre-orders next month so stay tuned for more information.”
The statement was released back in August, and it is high time that the tech giant give the waiting fans some details on how to get their hands on the world’s most powerful console. In the meantime, the leaked ad definitely gave the gaming community some hope, although some were disappointed to hear that Xbox One X Scorpio Edition will no longer be available for retail.
The standard edition of the Xbox One X is also expected to sell out quite quickly when it officially hits the stands on Nov. 7 for $499.99.
